Hi @Bollocks54,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer's Wi-Fi light is flashing consistently and it's not printing from your mobile device or laptop, it typically indicates a problem with the network connection. Here's how you can troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

Ensure Proper Printer Placement:

  • Place the printer within 8 meters (26 feet) of your Wi-Fi router to ensure a strong connection.

Check Wi-Fi Signal Strength:

  • Verify that the wireless icon on your mobile device or laptop displays a strong signal. If the signal is weak, move closer to the router.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your printer, router, and the device you are using to clear any temporary error states.

Reconnect Wi-Fi:

  • For printers with a touchscreen control panel: Go to the Wireless or Setup menu, select Network Setup or Settings, and choose Restore Network Settings.
  • For printers without a touchscreen control panel: Follow steps specific to your model to restore Wi-Fi setup mode. You can refer to your printer’s manual for these steps, or visit HP Restore Wi-Fi setup mode.

Check Network Settings:

  • Make sure your devices are connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and not to any guest or public networks.

Update Printer Software and Firmware:

Use the HP App for Setup:

  • Download the HP Smart app from HP's website or your app store (123.hp.com) to help set up and connect your printer.

Wireless Setup Wizard:

  • For printers with a touchscreen, use the Wireless Setup Wizard from the control panel to reconnect to the network.
  • Alternatively, use Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS). Press the WPS button on your router, and then press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer for about 5 seconds.

Ensure your devices are not connected to a Virtual Private Network (VPN) during setup, as this can interfere with the connection process.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
