When I try to print, I get an error message that I am out of paper, but in fact I have plenty of paper.  Apparently, the machine is not pulling the paper from the tray.  Is there a solution to this or do I need a new printer?  It was working fine until suddenly it wasn't.

UPDATE:  Following the community support recommendation for a different printer with the same issue, I took the following steps:

1.  Unload and reload the paper tray.

2.  Open the cartridge access space and clean the rollers.  (I used a lint-free cloth moistened with a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol.)

3.  Remove the duplexer from the rear and clean its rollers and the rollers that catch the paper from the paper tray.  (Here, I found that, although I was getting an "out of paper" message, there was a piece of paper stuck in the rollers that catch the paper from the paper tray.  I removed it before cleaning the rollers,)

4.  Unplug the power cord from the printer, and then from the electrical outlet.

5.  After 60 seconds, plug the cord back into the outlet, and then into the printer.

Voilà!  The printer works again!

This may not work for everyone, but for the small amount of effort it took, it's certainly worth a try, whether or not you discover a paper jam.
