macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I changed cartridges in my printer which I've had for many years. When I put new cartridges in, the printer issued the error that a cartridge had been used before. I replaced all of the cartridges with ew cartridges. Now the printer displays the message, "There is a problem with the printer ink system. Turn the printer on and off. If the problem persists contact HP support." What can I do the fix this?

I understand that you are having issues with the error "There is a problem with the printer ink system." 

 

If you have performed all the steps from this document and still having issues, then this could be hardware.
