I have an HP 2529. Working ok this morning; after 4 pages printed, it prompted "The following print cartridges are not intended for use in this printer as it is currently configured: Black. Refer to printer documentation." Please note it was working properly. Went out and bought another brand new original HP Black Cartridge and prompts the same. Any advice?

If you're encountering the error message "The following print cartridges are not intended for use in this printer" on your HP 2529 printer, even after installing a new original HP black cartridge, there are a few potential causes and troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check Cartridge Compatibility: Ensure that the cartridge you're using is compatible with your HP 2529 printer model. HP printers often have specific cartridge models that are compatible with particular printer models. Verify that you've purchased the correct cartridge for your printer.

Inspect Cartridge Installation: Make sure the cartridge is properly installed in the printer. Open the printer cover and ensure that the cartridge is securely inserted into its respective slot. Check for any obstructions or issues with the cartridge contacts.

Clean Cartridge Contacts: If the cartridge contacts are dirty or contaminated, it can cause communication issues with the printer. Turn off the printer and carefully clean the contacts on both the cartridge and the printer using a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water. Allow them to dry completely before reinstalling the cartridge.

Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP 2529 printer. Firmware updates can sometimes resolve compatibility issues and improve printer performance. Visit the HP support website to download and install any available updates for your printer model.
