Hi @FullFig,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP Envy 6055 has stopped printing and is showing an error. Let’s try to troubleshoot and fix it:

1. Identify the Error Code or Light Pattern

  • Look at the printer’s control panel for any blinking lights or error codes (like E1, E3, E5, E9, etc.).
  • Each code has a specific meaning. For example:
    • E1/E2: Paper size mismatch
    • E3: Carriage jam
    • E4: Paper jam
    • E5: Scanner or internal error
    • E9: Firmware or reset error

You can find a full list of error codes and their meanings here: HP DeskJet, ENVY 6000, 6400 - Blinking lights and error codes | HP® Support

2. Use HP Smart’s Diagnose & Fix Tool

  • Open the HP Smart app on your PC.
  • Go to “Printer Settings” > “Advanced Settings”.
  • Select “Diagnose & Fix” to automatically detect and resolve common issues like:
    • Print queue errors
    • Offline printer
    • Driver issues

More info: Use Diagnose & Fix in HP Smart to repair common printing issues (Windows, macOS) | HP® Support

3. Reset the Printer

  • With the printer powered on, unplug the power cord from the back.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

4. Check for Driver or Firmware Updates

5. Re-add the Printer in HP Smart

  • In the HP Smart app, remove the printer (click the printer > “Hide Printer”).
  • Click “+” to re-add it and follow the setup steps.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
