Hi @MShelby,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you’ve tried all the troubleshooting steps and your HP Officejet 6600 E-All-In-One Printer is still showing the printhead error, here are a few additional steps you can try.

Check Printhead Installation:

  • Ensure that the printhead is properly installed and seated correctly. Remove the printhead and carefully reinstall it, making sure it clicks into place.

Inspect Printhead and Cartridges:

  • Check for any obstructions or debris in the printhead area. Clean the printhead contacts with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water or isopropyl alcohol.
  • Inspect the ink cartridges and printhead for any damage or leaks.

Reset Printer:

  • Perform a full reset of the printer. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for 60 seconds, and then plug it back in and power it on.

Update Firmware:

  • Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up to date. Visit the HP website to download and install any available updates.

Replace Printhead:

  • If the printhead is still not detected after cleaning and reseating, it may be defective. Consider purchasing a replacement printhead from HP or an authorized reseller.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hello Alden4.  As I mentioned, I tried all suggested solutions, including the ones you mentioned.  The only solution I haven't tried is replacing the printhead because I cannot find the exact part on HP's website.  If you'd kindly send me the link to purchase a replacement printhead from HP I will gladly purchase one and replace it.  Thanks.
