The error code 0xc19a0040 on your HP OfficeJet 8610 usually indicates a printhead issue, such as it being missing, undetected, or incorrectly installed

 

Here are some steps to troubleshoot:

 

1. Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

 

2. Remove and Reinstall the Printhead

  • Open the cartridge access door.
  • Remove all ink cartridges.
  • Lift the latch handle and carefully remove the printhead.
  • Clean the gold contacts with a lint-free cloth.
  • Reinstall the printhead, lower the latch, and reinsert the cartridges.

 

3. Perform a Printhead Cleaning

  • Open HP Smart or HP Printer Assistant.
  • Navigate to Printer Settings > Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
  • Run the cleaning cycle.

 

4. Update Printer Firmware
