There is a problem with the printhead

HP Recommended
HP Officejet Pro 6830

I have a printer that is unfortunately out of warranty that just recently started giving me the error message there is a problem with the printhead,  We have done all of the traditional methods of repair, with no luck getting rid of the error message.  And the printer is non functional due to this error message.  But because my printer is out of warranty, I am not able to use the website to properly to talk to anyone about a replacement or repair of this product.  Does anyone out there have any suggestions on how to either get through to customer support or get my printer fixed?

Welcome to the HP support community.

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware
