Hi @Agua_2025,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 printer is showing “There is a problem with the supply system”. Let’s go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.

Restart the Printer

Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.

Wait for 60 seconds.

Plug it back in and power it on to see if the error clears.

Check Ink Cartridges

Open the ink cartridge access door.

Remove all cartridges carefully.

Inspect for any damage, leaks, or protective tape that hasn’t been removed.

Reseat each cartridge firmly in its correct slot until it clicks in place.

Check for Genuine HP Cartridges

Make sure you’re using original HP cartridges.

Non-HP or refilled cartridges can sometimes trigger supply system errors.

Inspect Cartridge Contacts

With the printer off, gently wipe the copper-coloured contacts on the cartridges and the contacts inside the printer with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.

Allow contacts to dry completely before reinserting cartridges.

Check for Paper or Debris

Ensure there’s no paper jam or debris inside the cartridge area that could block the mechanism.

Update Printer Firmware

Go to the printer’s Setup > Printer Maintenance > Update the Printer (if connected to WiFi).

Or download the latest firmware from the official HP Support website.

Reset the Printer

With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall.

Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and power on.

This can clear residual supply system errors.

Test the Printer

Try printing or copying directly from the printer’s control panel to see if the error persists.

I hope this helps.
