I can’t reset anything on my printer because this is the message I get.   This feature has been locked by the persons who set up the printer cant get it to reconnect to wifi. The wifi is off on the printer and it wont let me turn it on. Tried to connect to my pc via USB cable and my pc wouldn't detect the printer. I looked this up and this was the recommendation below. This doesn't work for me because I'm looked out of the screen. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the password issue.

 

Let's try these steps to restore the network settings to defaults -

 

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).
2. Touch Network Setup.
3. Touch Restore Network Settings.

4. Touch Yes.

 

If the issue still persists, I have sent you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
