I understand your HP ENVY Pro 6455 is stuck in a state where it's unable to complete its initialization or maintenance processes. The three white dots circling could be an indication that the printer is trying to perform a task but is encountering an issue.

 

Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer using the power button.
  • Unplug the printer from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions inside the printer. Open all access doors and check for any stuck paper or foreign objects.

Clean the Print Head:

  • Sometimes, cleaning the print head can help. Refer to the printer’s manual for instructions on how to clean the print head manually or through the printer's software.

Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • If you can access the printer's settings or HP Smart app, check for any firmware updates that might be available.

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Make sure the ink cartridges are installed correctly. Remove and reinstall them to ensure they are seated properly.
  • Verify that the ink cartridges are not empty or damaged.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Some HP printers have a specific reset procedure. Refer to the printer's manual or HP's support site for instructions on performing a hard reset for your model.
