Trying to print #10 envelopes on my HP Envy 7640

HP Recommended
HP Envy7640
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Can't get envelopes to print aligned to the left of the envelope, there's at least an inch of space on the edge. Help!

Load instructions

User Guide

Pages 14-15 - Chapter 2 - Get started

Check / Adjust / Retain the Paper at the Printer Display Panel

Open Printer Tray,

If you have not yet done so, add desired paper type

Close Tray

IF applicable for your printer:

On the Printer Control / Display Panel, Click Modify (wording varies), set the paper size and type, Click OK

NOTE:  If the size of the Paper Size is not in the Drop-down list, Select Custom

OR

Use Embedded Web Server (EWS) to manage / configure Preferences > Tray and Paper Management

EWS_9025_Preferences_Tray_and_Paper_Management_1EWS_9025_Preferences_Tray_and_Paper_Management_1

You did not mention what software / method you are using to create the envelope.

Example of the general #10 envelope setup using a recent version of Word

Open a blank / new Word document

Mailings > Envelopes

Enter addresses

Adjust / Verify the information in Options (both tabs)

NOTES

  1. Be sure you have selected the size of the envelope in Options.
  2. Pay attention to the Feed options - getting this part wrong can result in a weird output.
  3. While it should not be necessary, the location of the Return or Delivery Address can be adjusted.

Envelopes can also be created using Word and manually creating the envelope content.
