Trying to set up Wireless printer but can’t proceed as set up says printer door is open but it isn’t

Wireless printer 4130

I can’t finish setting up the printer- I’ve tried opening and closing the ink door 5 or 6 times. There are no obstructions and the printer display has no error message to say the door is open but the set up process won’t let me go any further as it is saying the door is still open.

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware
