Deskjet F4180
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, this is my first ask. So bear with me. I have 2 printers both HP. I want to check ink levels on my Deskjet F4180 . The issue is that only the laser printer shows up on my PC screen when trying to do this. Have tried pretty much everything I can think of.

Hi @DESP1949

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the ink level.

Try these steps -

1) Open the Printer Toolbox.

a) Open HP Solution Center.

b) Click Settings.

c) Click Print Settings.

d) Click Printer Toolbox.

NOTE: You can also open the Printer Toolbox from the Print Properties dialog box. In the Print Properties dialog box, select Printing Preferences, click the Features tab, and then click Printer Services.

2) Click the Estimated Ink Levels tab.

Note - If you have installed a refilled or remanufactured print cartridge, or a cartridge that has been used in another printer, the ink level indicator will be inaccurate or unavailable.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I have tried this of course. The problem, as explained in my post, is that the wrong printer comes up. You may want to read again. I would love to resolve this issue.

You should see two separate printer icons for your Deskjet and Laserjet printer.

Are you able to print from your Deskjet printer?
