Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an officejet 8702.

I just recently updated the payment method as I had forgotten.

Fast forward 8 hrs, and i am still unable to print.

I have installed new cartridges, from the hp instant ink platform.

Please assist me in this issue, as this is very frustrating. I am a paying customer who has been a customer for nearly a decade straight.

Hi @Jaxsontee,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your frustration, and I'll do my best to help you resolve this issue with your HP Officejet 8702.

Firstly, let's ensure that the payment method update has been properly processed and reflected in your HP Instant Ink account. You can log in to your HP Instant Ink account online or through the HP Smart app to verify this.

If the payment method update appears to be correct, the next step is to troubleshoot the printing issue. Here are a few steps you can try:

  • Restart your Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Check Connectivity: Ensure that your printer is connected to the same network as your computer or mobile device. You can verify the network connection status on the printer's control panel.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can usually update the firmware through the printer's settings menu or by visiting the HP support website for firmware updates specific to your printer model.
  • Check for Error Messages: If there are any error messages displayed on the printer's control panel or on your computer, take note of them. Error messages can provide clues about the nature of the problem.
  • Reinstall Printer Drivers: Try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer drivers on your computer. Sometimes, driver issues can cause printing problems. You can download the latest drivers from the HP support website.
  • Verify Cartridge Installation: Double-check that the new cartridges you installed are properly seated and securely inserted into the printer.
  • Test Print from Another Device: If possible, try printing from another device, such as a smartphone or tablet, to see if the issue is specific to one device.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
