Hi @Coronastone,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting the "Validating" message on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e printer can be frustrating, especially after replacing the ink cartridges.

Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:

1. Power Cycle the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the wall outlet.
  2. Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  3. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

2. Check Ink Cartridge Installation

  1. Open the printer cover and ensure that the new cartridges are properly installed.
  2. Remove the cartridges and inspect them for any protective tape or packaging that might have been missed.
  3. Reinsert the cartridges, making sure they click securely into place.

3. Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  2. While unplugged, press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds to discharge any residual power.
  3. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

4. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer

  1. Make sure your printer is connected to the internet.
  2. Check for any firmware updates via the HP Smart app or HP's website. If available, update the firmware.

5. Connect to Wi-Fi HP printer setup (Wi-Fi network)

  1. Ensure that your printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network. Sometimes, network issues can lead to the "Validating" message.
  2. Use the Wireless button on the printer to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.

6. Reset Network Settings (if applicable)

  1. Go to the printer’s control panel and find the Network settings.
  2. Select Restore Network Defaults to reset the network settings.
  3. Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

7. Try a Different USB Port or Cable (if connected via USB)

If you are using a USB connection, try a different USB port on your computer or a different USB cable.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
