Hi @DEX14 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP ENVY 6455e All-In-One Printer is not printing after changing the cartridge, there could be a few potential issues causing this problem.
Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:
- Check Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the new cartridge is installed correctly. Remove it and reseat it to ensure it's properly inserted.
- Remove Protective Tape: Many ink cartridges come with a protective tape or cover that needs to be removed before installation. Make sure this tape has been removed from the new cartridge.
- Printer Alignment: Some printers require alignment after a cartridge change. Check your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a cartridge alignment.
- Printer Software: Ensure that your printer's software is installed correctly and up to date. Sometimes, updating the printer drivers can resolve printing issues. Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer model. Software and Drivers for HP ENVY 6455e All-in-One Printer
- Restart Printer: Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset the printer and resolve issues.
- Check Ink Levels: Verify that the new cartridge has ink and that it's not empty. Some printers have ink level indicators that you can check through the printer software or on the printer's display panel.
- Test Print: Try printing a test page to see if the printer is functioning properly. You can usually do this through the printer's control panel or from the printer software on your computer.
- Check for Error Messages: Look for any error messages or warning lights on the printer's display panel. These can provide clues as to what might be causing the printing problem.
- Check Paper and Print Queue: Ensure that there is paper loaded in the printer tray and that there are no print jobs stuck in the print queue. Clear any stuck print jobs and try printing again.
- Hardware Issues: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, there may be a hardware problem with the printer itself.
