Hi,

I have a MacBook Air, BigSur11.1operating system. All of a sudden I can not print. I've tried procedures I've seen online about resetting the printer, turning it off, removing and adding a printer, new OS, and new drivers. But it's STILL not working.

Help! I've already put 4-5 hours on this.

Mike

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to print and getting an error.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you remove the printer from your computer and then download and install the driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

ok I did that, reset the printer, and it still doesn't work. The cable is fine, the printer is on. When I go to print it says "waiting to print" for about 20 seconds. Then it says "waiting for printer to become available" and never prints.

Follow the below steps and check if it helps.

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  2. Remove USB cable, if present.
  3. Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  4. Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  5. Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Cheers!
