Web Services Orange light blinking since I canceled instant ink service

After I canceled the instant ink service, the web services orange light is blinking and my printer stopped working. I have checked ink levels, reboot system, reconnected printer, double checked wifi connections and everywhere indicates the printer is online and connected. However, documents sit in queue and nothing prints.

Do I need to sign back up for instant ink services to use this printer? I know the handbook says its not mandatory, however, it was quite the google search for me to figure out how to even cancel it and then this happpened so I'm needing some clarification and assistance please.

Hi,

Have you replaced the ink cartridges with standard ink cartridges from any nearby retailer?

 

HP Instant Ink cartridges do not work after the end of your current billing period, and you are required to return them to HP. To continue printing after your billing cycle ends, make sure you have standard replacement ink cartridges ready to use in your printer.

I have replacement cartridges ready. However, there is still ink in the current ones and I received a package today with two new instant ink cartridges. Although I have canceled service it is in effect until Nov. 4, 2018.
