Hi @TheCokerGroup,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are getting the error code B8C20D9C on your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-In-One Printer typically indicates a problem with the printer's firmware or hardware.
Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:
- Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary errors. Turn off your printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
- Update Printer Firmware: Outdated firmware can sometimes cause errors. Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer model on the HP website. Download and install any updates following the instructions provided. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions: Ensure that there are no paper jams or any foreign objects obstructing the printer mechanism. Clear any jams carefully following the printer's manual instructions.
- Reset the Printer: If restarting doesn't work, you can try resetting the printer to its default settings. This can often clear out temporary issues. Be aware that resetting will erase any custom settings you have configured.
