HP Envy photo 7155
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The printer has been working just fine over the past 1.5 years.  After printing a page a couple days ago, the printer has been inoperable.  The on/off button stays lit and does not go off.

What I did to troubleshoot:

I have unplugged the printer, disconnected the power cord and reconnected the cord, removed and then installed the cartridges then plugged it into the wall - did this several times.

Outcome:

When connected to the wall, the on/off light comes on and the screen lights up and goes thru the startup sequence, but stops after just one of the seven dots in the sequence and nothing happens.  I cannot shut the printer off.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

@bobenvy, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand the printer is stuck at the initialization screen.

Unplug the power cable and hold the power button down for 10-15 seconds and release it. Power on the printer and check.

Make sure the print carriage is moving freely, refer to - Carriage jam or E3 error

Check if you can bypass to access the home screen of the printer.

If yes, let us try this:

Go to Setup > Tools > Restore to factory defaults

If not, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
