HP ENVY 5535 e-All-in-One Printer

Just purchased a Dell Inspirion3030 PC with Windows11.  I have an HPEnvy5535 all in one that was working perfectly before it was connected to the new computer.  The printer has been installed and will only print part of the page and the scanner is not working at all.

It sounds like you're encountering some frustrating issues with your HP Envy 5535 after connecting it to your new Dell Inspiron 3030. Here are some steps to help troubleshoot the printing and scanning problems:

1. Check Printer Connection

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your PC via USB or Wi-Fi. If using USB, try a different port or cable.

2. Set as Default Printer

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners and make sure your HP Envy 5535 is set as the default printer.

3. Update Drivers

  • Visit the HP support website and download the latest drivers for the HP Envy 5535 compatible with Windows 11. This can help resolve compatibility issues.

4. Check Print Settings

  • When printing, check the print settings in the application you’re using. Ensure the paper size and orientation are set correctly. Try printing a test page to see if that works.

5. Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. It can help diagnose and fix common printing and scanning issues.

6. Scan with HP Software

  • If the scanner isn’t working, make sure you’re using the HP software to initiate the scan. Open the HP Smart app or HP Scan and select your scanner to see if it recognizes the device.
