Hi @GG0607,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

The information light (often denoted by an "i" icon) on HP 2700 series printers typically indicates that the printer requires attention or there’s an issue that needs to be addressed. Let's figure out why the light is on and how to reset the printer.

Possible Reasons for the Info Light:

Paper or Ink Issue:

  • The printer may be out of paper or ink.
  • A paper jam or incorrectly installed cartridges could also trigger the light.

Connection Problem:

  • The printer might not be properly connected to the network or computer.

Firmware/Software Update Needed:

  • The printer might require a firmware update or additional configuration.

Error in Print Job:

  • A stuck print job might cause the printer to display the info light.

To Address the Info Light:

Check for Messages on the Printer App:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your device (phone or computer) to see if there’s an error message.
  • The app can provide specific details about why the light is on.

Inspect Ink and Paper:

  • Ensure there’s paper loaded in the tray and the ink cartridges are properly installed.
  • Replace any low or empty ink cartridges if necessary.
  • Clear any paper jams.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on.
  • Check if the info light turns off.

Perform a Network Reset:

  • If the printer is not connecting to the network:
    • Press and hold the Wi-Fi and Cancel buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. This resets the network settings.
    • Reconnect the printer to the network via the HP Smart app.

Perform a Full Printer Reset:

  • To reset the printer to factory settings:
    • Hold the Power button and press the Cancel button 3 times, then press the Resume button 6 times.
    • Release the Power button, and the printer will reset.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
