@Sabke69, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP printer is not printing in color, even though the test pages show colors, it could be due to a few common settings or driver issues. Let’s walk through the steps to resolve this:

Check Printer Preferences

  1. On your Windows PC, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click your HP printer and select Printing Preferences.
  3. Under the Paper/Quality or Color tab, make sure "Print in Grayscale" is unchecked.
  4. Ensure Color is selected instead of Black & White or Monochrome.
  5. Click Apply and OK.

Check Ink Levels

  • Open the HP Smart app or your printer’s control panel. HP Smart
  • Check if the color cartridges have sufficient ink.
  • If any cartridge is empty or low, replace it.

Run Print Quality Diagnostic

  1. On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Reports > Print Quality Report.
  2. This will help identify if any color nozzles are clogged or misfiring.

Clean Printhead (if applicable)

  • If your printer uses individual ink cartridges, it may have a printhead cleaning option.
  • Use the printer’s control panel or HP Smart app to initiate cleaning.

Reinstall or Update Printer Driver

  1. Go to HP Software and Driver Downloads.
  2. Enter your printer model and download the latest Full Feature Software and Drivers.
  3. Uninstall the current driver from Control Panel > Programs, then reinstall the new one.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
