Why is this so difficult????

My printer gives me ALWAYS a hard time. It's a good printer once it prints, duh.... I just don't have the kind of time to wait until, even after signing up each time anew on the website, it connects - randomly - to something and it decides to print after all. Or, if it doesn't print, to disconnect and reconnect and start all over again. Or, even worse, reset the whole thing, erase the printer out of my system and set it all up as if that would fix anything, because it doesn't. I also am very unhappy with the AI pushed on customers. Except for the ink-orders it's been useless and a complete waste of. my time. I am, again, thinking of throwing this printer away. What a waste, and what a shame. Why make this so hard? It is not working and I shouldn't be mad when I'm printing at home.

I am not sure what the problems is and I rarely use MacOS but I can make a few guesses

If you use Air Print the printer needs to be online so you can directly print to it.  There is also the possibility of a weak signal due to noise.

1  Do not use Wi-Fi direct  (Air Print) to send your report directly to the printer.  Configure the printer to work with the router.

2  Do not let your printer sleep. Change sleep to "off".  I use Edge or Chrome and access with IP4 address of my printer

3 - You can log into your modem/router and find a less noise channel

Be sure to find the channel that has the least amount of noise
