Hi @Ibar2024,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet F4180 isn’t working even with new cartridges, try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue.

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure that the cartridges are properly installed. Remove and reinsert them to make sure they’re seated correctly.

Check for Protective Tape:

  • If you’ve installed new cartridges, make sure that any protective tape or plastic covering the cartridges has been removed.

Align Cartridges:

  • Go to the printer’s control panel and look for an option to align the cartridges. Sometimes, alignment is necessary for proper printing.

Clean the Cartridges and Printhead:

  • Use the printer’s utility software to clean the printhead. You can usually find this option in the printer’s maintenance section.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions inside the printer.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Make sure you have the latest drivers installed. You can download them from the HP website.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on.

Check Ink Levels:

  • Sometimes new cartridges might still show as empty. Verify the ink levels through the printer’s software.

Check for Printer Errors:

  • Look at the printer’s display or software for any error messages or codes and refer to the user manual for troubleshooting those specific errors.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
