My printer will no longer turn on properly. The display screen only shows a bluish light, no words appear or print options like before. Is there a reset for an HP envy 4520 model? I’ve tried unplugging several times but nothing changes. Same dull blue light and no noises coming from within, like it’s not even trying to start up!!  Help!

It sounds like your HP Envy 4520 printer is experiencing a startup issue.

 

Here are some steps you can try to resolve it:

 

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on. Check if the display screen responds.

 

Inspect for Hardware Issues:

  • Open the printer and check for any obstructions or loose components.
  • Ensure the ink cartridges are properly installed and there are no paper jams.

 

Update Firmware:

  • If the printer starts up, visit the HP Support website to check for firmware updates for your printer model.

 

Factory Reset:

  • If the printer remains unresponsive, you may need to perform a factory reset. This process often requires accessing the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS) by entering its IP address in a web browser. If you can't access the EWS, contact HP support for assistance.
