There is an problem that the HP Notebook will only print to a HP Envy 4527 multi-function printer in black & white (wireless connection).
I have followed previous threads on the HP Forum and various posts on the Internet and have removed and re-installed the printer drivers, by several different methods, many times but can still only print in black & white.
To confuse further, or maybe help, if printing from a very old Windows 7 PC this will print a colour document to the Envy 4527.
Also printing from a Samsung A40 smart phone, via wireless, with the HP Smart Driver loaded prints in colour.
Also printing from an iPad in colour works okay.
So, why wont the HP Notebook print in colour?
If any more information is required please let me know.

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply.
I proceed with your solution and after completing all the steps it seemed okay.
I printed a number of pages and was successful in being able to select the colour option if I required it.
Strangely and very surprisingly a few days later I went to print a document in colour but when I looked for the option it wasn't there and it had reverted to the original issue of only being able to print in B & W!
What is going on?
Thanks for your help so far

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor to fix this issue.
Download HP Print and Scan Doctor.
-
Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.
-
Once HP Print and Scan Doctor opens, click Start, and then select your printer.
-
If your printer is not in the list, turn it off and on, and then click Retry.
-
If there is a connection problem, follow the instructions in HP Print and Scan Doctor.
-
-
If a screen prompts you to turn on printer updates, click Yes.
-
If a screen prompts you to make your printer the default printer, click Yes.
-
Try to print.
Let me know how it goes.
