HP ENVY 6455e All-in-One Printer

My printer is a little over a year old. It maybe has printed 200 sheets. If that.

Apparently, the latest update, which I have no way of knowing is coming, did not manage to connect with my printer.

Slightly out of warranty, no update, no printing.

The fix? Pay $39 one time support fee to get the update that should be free OR $99 one year service contract for a $149 printer.

Either make this right or explain to me why I should ever buy another HP product ever again.

Hi @kranjcich,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It's frustrating when technology doesn't work as expected, especially when it's something as essential as a printer. Let's see if we can troubleshoot this together. First off, have you tried any basic troubleshooting steps like restarting both your printer and your computer? Sometimes a simple reboot can resolve connectivity issues. If that doesn't work, you might want to check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. You can usually find this information on the HP website or through our printer management software. If there is an update available, try installing it to see if it resolves the connectivity issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Yes. I did all the troubleshooting as you suggested. I called your support line and they told me

everything that I posted in my original post. Straight from your HP staff. You’ll need to pay us more to use your barely used printer.
