no matter what I do, I can’t get this full thing to print. It worked last week and now it doesn’t in the top corner. There is a yellow light flashing and in the other area in front, there is a yellow light flashing. I have looked for paper jams. I changed the black Ink because it was the only one I could get. Everybody seems to be out of colored ink. I’m ready to throw this thing in the garbage

Hi @Connie4387,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Identify the Flashing Lights
- Yellow Light on Front: Often indicates a problem with ink cartridges, paper jams, or printer status.
- Paper Tray Light: Indicates paper tray issues or paper jam.
Check Ink Cartridges
Install New Ink Cartridges:
- Since you have replaced the black ink cartridge, ensure that it is properly seated.
- You mentioned difficulty finding colored ink, ensure the color cartridge is still functioning or remove it to use the printer in single-cartridge mode if supported.
Alignment Process:
- The printer may require an alignment after replacing ink cartridges. Follow the on-screen instructions or check the printer settings for alignment options.
Clear Paper Jams
Inspect Paper Path:
- Open the paper tray and remove all paper.
- Check for any debris or small pieces of paper stuck within the paper path.
- Reinsert the paper correctly and ensure the width guide is properly adjusted.
Check Rear Access:
- Open the rear access panel and check for any paper jams.
- Cleared everything properly, close the panel securely.
Printer Reset
- Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the printer.
- Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer and wall outlet.
- Turn the printer back on.
Update Printer Firmware
- Check for Updates:
- Visit the HP Support website.
- Enter your printer model and download any available firmware updates.
- Follow the instructions to install the update.
I hope this helps.
