I recently installed a complete set of toner cartridges. I printed a test page and it printed ok except that the entire page is bright yellow. Now every page I try to print either has a section of yellow or the complete page is yellow. I even downloaded a new update of software and drivers from HP, rebooted, installed, and the test page came out completely yellow as before. I tried removing the yellow cartridge, but the printer would not operate without it installed.

Likely a defective yellow cartridge. What happens if you reinstall your old yellow toner?

HVPS = High Voltage Power Supply. This is the circuit that provides the high Bias charge the energizes the drum units to attract or repel toner. The contacts themselves are on the left side of the cartridge cavity.

If you check you tube you should be able to find a video on how to properly remove the cartridge frame to gain access.
