Hi @heythere5,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds frustrating to encounter this issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8034e printer. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the problem.

Check Printer Status and Connections:

  • Ensure that your printer is powered on and connected to your computer or network properly. Sometimes, a loose connection or network issue can cause communication problems.

Restart Your Printer:

  • Turn off your printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn it back on. This can often resolve temporary issues with the printer's internal software or network connection.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Visit the HP support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Updating the firmware can sometimes fix bugs and improve compatibility with your devices.

Check Ink or Toner Levels:

  • Low ink or toner levels can sometimes prevent printing. Check the ink or toner levels and replace them if necessary.

Clear Print Queue (if applicable):

  • If you're printing from a computer, check the print queue for any stuck or pending print jobs. Cancel any jobs that are stuck and try printing again.

Verify Network Connectivity:

  • If you're printing over a network, ensure that your printer is connected to the correct network and that the network is working properly. You can try printing a network configuration report from the printer settings to verify its network status.

Check for Error Messages on Printer Display:

  • Sometimes, the printer itself may provide more detailed error messages on its display panel. Check the printer display for any specific error codes or messages that could indicate the source of the problem.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
