HP Smart - available for Windows, Mobile, and MacOS - supports PDF and Photo / Image formats.
With the addition of the HP+ service, available on select newer printers, HP Smart supports Scan and Save to .docx format.
Printing from within Word or other Office type documents requires the installation of the full driver printer software.
