Hi @AryehL,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're encountering an error message on your HP printer that suggests restarting the printer. Here's what you can do to troubleshoot this issue.

  • Restart the Printer: Follow the instructions on the error message. Turn off your printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Check Connections: Ensure that all cables (power and data) are securely connected to the printer and your computer or network.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Sometimes updating the printer's firmware can resolve such issues. Check HP's official website for any available firmware updates for your printer model.
  • Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions: Open the printer and check for any paper jams or obstructions that might be causing the issue.
  • Clear Print Queue: If there are any pending print jobs in the print queue, try clearing them and then restarting the printer.
  • Reset the Printer: If restarting doesn't work, you can try resetting the printer to its factory settings. Be cautious as this will reset all settings to default.

Following these steps should help resolve the error message and get your HP printer working again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
