c2480 fails to turn on and run.

c4280
macOS 10.12 Sierra

First printer failed to recognize cartridge. Then I tried to cancel. But now  the on/off light keeps blinking and the printer is totally unresponsive. If I unplug the line cord and replug it the on/off light keeps blinking. Nonresponsive.

Hi @HenrySL,

I'd like to help!

Let's try a power reset on the printer

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

If the issue persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer

Keep me posted.
