HP Office Jet 8130e just connecting my new printer and can't print

I understand your new HP OfficeJet 8130e is connected but won’t print. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Verify the printer connection
– Make sure the printer is powered on and connected via Wi-Fi or USB.
– If using Wi-Fi, ensure your computer is on the same network.

Set the printer as default
– On Windows → Settings → Bluetooth & Devices → Printers & Scanners.
– Select the HP 8130e and click Set as default.

Check for pending print jobs
– Open the print queue → Cancel all pending jobs.
– Try printing a test page after clearing the queue.

Install or update HP drivers
– Go to HP Support → Software & Drivers → HP OfficeJet 8130e → Download and install latest drivers.
– Installing HP Smart app can also help manage the printer.

Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor
– Download from HP Support and run the tool.
– It automatically diagnoses connection, driver, and print queue issues.

Restart the printer and computer
– Power off both devices for 30–60 seconds.
– Turn them back on and attempt printing again.
