can't clear carriage jam message on officejet 4630

HP Recommended
officejet 4630
Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I have not been able to clear the carriage jam message on my 4630 printer.  I have re-booted numerous times, there is nothing blocking the carriage from moving.  What do I need to do to clear the message?

@ddmd, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Make sure there are no papers stuck inside the printer. refer to the steps from this document - Paper Jam Error

To resolve a carriage jam issue, perform the steps from - 'Carriage Jam' or 'E3' Error Displays

If the error persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
