HP DeskJet 4152e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I cannot seem to get anything to print to this printer anymore. I had my laptop, desktop, and phone connected to the printer and now can only print form the laptop. When I print out the printer info page it tells me that it is connected to my wireless network but is not connected to the internet. I've tried everything from unplugging it and restarting the process to uninstalling the printer app and reinstalling it, all the directions on the various printouts from the printer itself. I'm at a complete loss and it's been almost 3 months of this now. I need my printer to work for my job and currently it just doesn't

HI @magend94,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you’re dealing with a frustrating issue where your printer is not functioning correctly across multiple devices, and is also showing connectivity issues. Here’s a structured approach to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the problem:

1. Verify Network Connection

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and that your router is functioning properly.
  • Verify that other devices (like your laptop and phone) can connect to the internet through the same network.
  • Print a network configuration page from your printer (usually found in the printer’s settings menu) to confirm its IP address and network status.

2. Resolve Internet Connectivity Issues

  • Restart your router to resolve any potential connectivity issues that might be affecting the printer’s internet access.
  • Ensure that the printer’s network settings are correctly configured and that it is set to obtain an IP address automatically if using DHCP.

3. Update Printer Firmware

  • Check for and install any available firmware updates for your printer. Visit the HP website or use the printer’s app to check for updates.

4. Reconfigure Wireless Settings

  • Use the printer’s control panel or the HP Smart app to reconnect the printer to your wireless network. Follow the on-screen instructions to ensure it’s connected properly.
  • Remove the printer from your network settings and then reconnect it, following the setup instructions provided by the printer or its software.

5. Check Device-Specific Issues

  • On your laptop, desktop, and phone, remove the printer and then re-add it. Make sure to follow the correct procedure for adding a network printer.
  • Ensure that the correct drivers are installed for your printer on all devices. Download the latest drivers from the manufacturer’s website if needed.

6. Test Printer Connectivity

  • Print a test page from your printer’s control panel to verify that it can print correctly.
  • Try printing from a different device (like a tablet or another computer) to see if the issue persists.

7. Check for Software Conflicts

  • Ensure that your firewall or security software is not blocking the printer’s connection. Temporarily disable it and test printing again.
  • Make sure that the printer software on your devices is up-to-date and properly configured.

8. Factory Reset

  • As a last resort, perform a factory reset on your printer to restore it to its default settings. Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
