HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer

Have HP Envy 5530 All in one printer. It will not copy when using the printer touch screen. It will copy from the laptop command but not the printer touch screen. It starts to but then immediately cancels itself.

If your HP Envy 5530 All-in-One printer is not copying when using the printer's touchscreen but copies fine when initiated from your laptop, there might be a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

 

  • Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again.
  • Check for Error Messages: If there are any error messages displayed on the printer's touchscreen when you try to copy, take note of them. They can provide clues about what might be causing the issue.
  • Update Firmware/Software: Ensure that your printer's firmware and software are up to date. Sometimes, outdated firmware or software can cause compatibility issues.
  • Reset the Printer: Try resetting the printer to its default settings. You can usually find this option in the printer's settings menu. Resetting the printer can sometimes fix software glitches causing the copying problem.
