After Installing the new 678 Black Cartridge and performing printer alignment and scanning the alignment result, an error message appeared "Cartridge in wrong slot, Remove and reinsert Cartridge into correct slots, matching color and symbols".

After performing the instruction, the printer was normally shutdown and turned "on" after 10 seconds has lapsed from shutdown time. The same process of aligning the printer and scanning the alignment result repeated, the same error message appeared..Please HELP fixing the printer back to normal operation. Thank you.

I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue. If you have already performed the steps from the document  HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
