Hi @1234screenname,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code you're encountering with your HP printer, 0X0005FBB6, often indicates a hardware issue or a problem with the printer's firmware. Here are some steps you can try to reset the printer and troubleshoot the issue.

  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again. This simple step can sometimes resolve temporary glitches.
  • Check for Paper Jams: Even if you don't see a paper jam, check all areas of the printer where paper travels. Sometimes even a small piece of torn paper can cause the printer to malfunction.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Go to the HP support website and check if there's a firmware update available for your printer model. If there is, follow the instructions to download and install the latest firmware.
  • Reset Printer to Factory Settings: This step will vary depending on your printer model. Look for a reset option in the printer's menu or consult the printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
  • Check Ink Cartridges: Ensure that all ink cartridges are properly installed and seated in their respective slots. Even if the black ink is new, sometimes a faulty cartridge or improper installation can cause printing issues.
  • Clean Printer Heads: If the printer has been sitting idle for a while or if you've been experiencing print quality issues, it might be helpful to clean the printer heads. Most printers have a built-in cleaning function accessible through the printer's menu.

By following these steps, you should hopefully be able to reset your HP printer and resolve the error code you're experiencing.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
