I have a Dell laptop and have wireless connection to my printer.  When I click on 'Print', it will take 6-8 minutes before the printer begins to print; sometimes longer.

Do I have to 'uninstall' the driver and download a new driver and install?

Printing always has lowest priority there are few things which cause the slowness

(a) How busy is your wifi network

(my test shows when downloading big file, my printer has to wait for the completion of the download task).

(b) How complicate your document specially with PDF files.

 ....

In general, the problem resides on your network, not printer. You will get much better speed when using USB connection.

Regards,
