“Press the Info and Web Services icons on your printer at the same time.

A Network Configuration page will print. You will need the code on this printed page in the next step.“

The network configuration will not print despite pressing the buttons. my web services button is flashing red,

Hi @Nancygrace44,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

If your HP DeskJet 3700 series printer is not printing the Network Configuration page when you press the Info and Web Services icons, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Ensure Printer is Ready:

  • Check Status: Make sure your printer is turned on, has paper loaded, and is not showing any error messages or blinking lights that might indicate a problem.

2. Try Alternative Method to Print Network Configuration Page:

  • Using Control Panel:
    1. Power On: Make sure the printer is powered on.
    2. Press and Hold Buttons: Try pressing and holding the Wireless and Information (i) buttons on the printer simultaneously until the network configuration page prints.

3. Reset Network Settings:

  • Restore Network Defaults:
    1. Power On: Ensure the printer is powered on.
    2. Press and Hold: Press and hold the Wireless button (or the Wireless and Cancel buttons together) until the Wireless light starts blinking. This indicates that the network settings have been reset to their defaults.
    3. Reconnect to Network: Use the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

4. Use HP Smart App:

  • HP Smart App Setup:
    1. Install App: Download and install the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer from the HP Smart website.
    2. Add Printer: Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer. The app will guide you through the process of connecting your printer to the network and can provide the network configuration details.

Firmware Update:

  • Check for Firmware Updates:
    1. Download Firmware: Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model to find any available firmware updates.
    2. Update Firmware: Follow the instructions to update the printer's firmware, which can resolve connectivity issues.

6. Manual Network Configuration:

  • Manual Setup via Embedded Web Server (EWS):
    1. Connect Directly: Connect your computer or smartphone directly to the printer’s Wi-Fi Direct network. The Wi-Fi Direct name and password should be on a sticker on the printer or available in the printer’s documentation.
    2. Access EWS: Open a web browser and enter the printer’s IP address (usually something like 192.168.223.1) to access the Embedded Web Server.
    3. Network Settings: Navigate to the Network Settings section to find the network configuration details or to set up the printer on your Wi-Fi network.

If none of the above steps work, contact HP Support for further assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
