@ugh41, Welcome to the HP Support Community – it’s great to have you here!

I appreciate you taking the time to share your question. I'm more than happy to assist with this and provide a solution that works for you.

I understand how frustrating it can be when your HP printer refuses to print even after changing the ink and cleaning it. Let’s walk through a few steps to help resolve this issue.

Check for Specific Error Message

  • What exact error is being displayed? If it’s something like “Ink System Failure,” “Cartridge Problem,” or “Printer Offline,” that can help narrow down the cause.

Power Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

This clears temporary memory issues.

Check Ink Cartridge Installation

  • Make sure cartridges are seated properly.
  • Use genuine HP cartridges.
  • Clean the electrical contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer using a lint-free cloth.

Run Printer Diagnostics

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Tools > Printer Status Report or Print Quality Report.
  • This helps identify hardware or ink delivery issues.

Update Printer Firmware

Outdated firmware can cause printing errors.

Reinstall the Printer

  • Remove the printer from Devices and Printers.
  • Reinstall it using the latest drivers from HP website - Official HP® Support

I hope your issue is now resolved. If not, feel free to reply and we’ll continue helping until everything’s sorted!
