Hi @14511,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting the error you're encountering typically happens when the driver installation package can't find the correct INF file, which is required to install the driver for your Samsung Xpress SL-M3065FW printer.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue:

1. Verify Driver Compatibility:

  • Make sure you are downloading the correct driver for Windows 11. Although the SL-M3065FW is an older printer model, check if the drivers are compatible with the version of Windows 11 you are using (32-bit or 64-bit).
  • If the driver is designed for an older version of Windows (e.g., Windows 10), try using Compatibility Mode during installation.

2. Use Compatibility Mode:

If the driver is not specifically for Windows 11, you can try installing it in compatibility mode:

  1. Right-click on the driver installer and choose Properties.
  2. Go to the Compatibility tab.
  3. Check the box for Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select Windows 10.
  4. Click Apply and then OK.
  5. Run the installer again.

3. Manually Add the Printer Driver:

If the automated driver installer is not working, you can manually add the driver through Windows:

  1. Open Device Manager.
  2. Locate your printer under Printers or Other devices.
  3. Right-click the device and select Update driver.
  4. Choose Browse my computer for drivers.
  5. Navigate to the folder where the driver files are extracted, ensuring it contains the INF files.
  6. Proceed with the installation.

4. Try the Universal Print Driver (UPD):

You can try installing the HP Universal Print Driver which might support your printer:

  • HP Universal Print Driver for Windows

This driver often works for a variety of Samsung printers, including those that may not have specific Windows 11 drivers.

5. Download from HP Support:

For Samsung printers, you can download the driver from the official Software and Drivers for Samsung Xpress SL-M3065FW Laser Multifunction Printer. Look for the latest Windows 11-compatible driver.|

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
