Hi @Gbl69

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

You're being incredibly thorough in troubleshooting this issue, and I admire your persistence! Since the Supply System Error on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8725 is still persisting despite all your efforts, let's explore some additional steps that might help resolve it.

Perform a Hard Reset

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.
  • If the printer remains stuck, try holding the power button for 30 seconds before restarting.

Check for Ink Cartridge Issues

  • Open the cartridge access door and inspect the cartridges.
  • Ensure they are seated correctly and securely.
  • Remove and reinsert the cartridges to ensure proper contact.
  • If possible, try replacing the affected cartridges with new HP ones.

Clean the Cartridge Contacts

  • Remove the cartridges and check for dirt, ink, or debris on the electrical contacts (gold/copper-colored areas).
  • Clean the contacts with a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water.
  • Allow them to dry before reinserting.

Run a Printhead Cleaning Cycle

  • On the printer's control panel, go to SettingsToolsClean Printhead.
  • Running multiple cycles can help remove trapped air or ink buildup.
  • Try printing a test page afterward to see if the issue improves.

Update Printer Firmware

  • Visit HP’s support page and check for firmware updates for your printer.
  • Install any available updates and restart the printer.

You're doing everything right—keep up the great troubleshooting! 🚀 Let me know how it goes.
