emails print ok but attachments print gobbledegook

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HI there,

I did post an email recently, and although I got an acknowledgement, I don't seem to have had any advice.

I do have an update as I had stated that my printer was churning out Hieroglyphics, I have come to realise that the emails print ok, but the attachments are printing out one liners of rubbish.

I have an  accounts software on a remote system,  and this is not affected, all printout ok.

But the attachments on the emails, are mainly invoices which I need in order to do my work

So I am in a quandary as to know how to rectify this.

HELP !!

@jazzz-singr, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand the print quality s the attachments are not satisfactory. As the printer is able to print other documents fine, this could be an application-specific issue.

Try downloading the attachment and then print it or use a different web browser like Google Chrome or Firefox and check if that helps.

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your PC.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
