error USB device is not responding please remove it

Example: hp laaserjet MF m631
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

error USB device is not responding please remove it on a hp laserjet M631. I already enable the usb port in the settings and enable copy/print usb option and stiil gives me same message . I also got another formatter board and formatted the harddisk and install the latest firmware and still it shows the same message on the control panel display. any suggestions. let me know.

Do you have any USB devices connected? That error is usually triggered when you plug in a non-compatible usb sticks or other devices like card readers.

No, the printer is connected with an ip address wth a network cable . this error shows on the control panel the customer  needs to be pressing ok on the control panel display so, they can get rid of the message and, use the copy fax and ermail  function. the customer doesn't have any problems printing through the network.
