The 0x6100004a error on the HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 usually indicates an issue with the ink system or a paper jam. Try these steps to resolve it:
Restart the Printer (Power Reset)
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- Try printing again.
Check for Paper Jams
- Open the printer’s front and rear access doors.
- Check for and remove any jammed paper or debris.
- Close the doors and restart the printer.
Reseat the Ink Cartridges
- Open the cartridge access door.
- Remove all ink cartridges and inspect them for damage.
- Reinsert them firmly in their respective slots.
- Close the door and restart the printer.
Perform a Hard Reset
- With the printer ON, unplug the power cord from the back.
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.
