Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer is giving problems even after the warranty has expired, don’t worry—many issues can still be resolved at home. Try the steps below to diagnose and fix common problems.

1. Restart Your Printer

Turn off the printer using the Power button.

Unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.

Wait at least 30 seconds.

Plug it back in and turn the printer on.

2. Check for Error Messages

Look at the printer’s display panel for any specific error codes or messages.

Note them down—these clues help identify the exact problem.

3. Clear Paper Jams

Inspect the input tray, output tray, and internal paper path.

Remove any stuck paper carefully without tearing it.

Refer to your model’s user guide if needed for proper jam-removal steps.

4. Check Cartridge/Toner Levels

Low or empty ink/toner can prevent printing.

Replace low/empty cartridges with genuine HP supplies for reliability.

5. Perform a Printer Reset

While the printer is powered on, disconnect the power cord.

Wait 60 seconds.

Reconnect the cord and turn the printer back on.

6. Update Printer Drivers and Firmware

Visit HP’s official support website.

Download and install the latest drivers and firmware for your printer model.

7. Run HP Diagnostic Tools

HP provides troubleshooting utilities that automatically detect and fix problems.

Download the appropriate tool from the HP support website.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
